Npower Beneficiaries in Anyigba Kogi State on Thurday 18th October embarked on peaceful protest along some major streets in Anyigba Dekina Local Government Council of the State.

The prostesters carried various placards that read: “Yakubu Sumaila Shadrack Has Not Been Paid For 29 Months”, “Npower, Pay Our Colleague”, “Baba Tell Them To Pay Our Colleague”, “Yemi Osinbajo, Afolabi, We Count On You”, …. among other placards.

According to the spoke person of the prostesters, Alhaji Abubakar K, “the protest is in solidarity of one of our colleagues, Mallam Yakubu Sumaila Shadrack who has not been paid for 29 months out of the 32 months paid to other Npower beneficiaries.

We know Mallam Yakubu Sumaila Shadrack to be a hard working beneficiary at his place of primary assignment (PPA), which is “ADP Anyigba”, but he has been borrowing to survive due to this ugly trend.

His situation is so pathetic that we can no longer allow him to suffer along hence, reason for our collective protest afterall, an injury to one, is an injury to all.

He has been asked to submit several documents at both Npower office in Dekina and Lokoja but nothing has happened.

Sometimes, we contribute money together to give him and he is indebted to many of us due to accumulating borrowing.

From our independent finding, we discovered that his problem has not been forwarded to the headquarters thus, we decided to come out in order to make our voices heard through available media.”

He further added that, by the time this issue gets to the tables of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr Afolabi and the Ministry of Humanitarian, they are rest assured that the problem would be resolved.

OurWorldGist earlier gave npower account details of Mallam Yakubu Sumaila Shadrack with UBA as : 2037287256 with alert phone number 08067076558 which revealed how stager payments were been made to him.
