Npower Beneficiary identified as Mallam Yakubu Sumaila Shadrack whose place of primary assignment (PPA) is ADP centre Anyigba – Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State has threatened to commit suicide over non payment of his monthly stipends for twenty nine (29) months.

Mallam Yakubu Sumaila disclosed this in a telephone conversation with OurWorldGist’s Editor on Monday 13th January 2020.

Recall that Mallam Yakubu Sumaila has on several occasions appealed on this site for his backlog stipends running 29 months to be paid but to no avail.

In a related development, his colleagues at his PPA have decided to go spiritual as they embark on Dry Fasting in solidarity over Mallam Yakubu Sumaila’s predicament.

According to the leader of the team, Mr Haruna O.C, he said, “they have at different times borrowed Mallam Yakubu Sumaila transport fare to his PPA and equally fed him with the hope that he would be paid his backlog stipends but nothing has happened even despite the fact that Ministry of Humanitarian has taken over Npower’s Affairs.

Mr Haruna O. C who appealed to Npower Authority to urgently look into Mallam Yakubu Sumaila’s situation however, cautioned Mallam Yakubu Sumaila not to see suicide as a solution to his plight adding that when their complaints get to the right authority, he believes Mallam Yakubu Sumaila would be paid his backlogs.
