#Npower News: Stop Sabotaging Buhari’s Effort- Volunteer To Minister.

It is no longer News that #Npower volunteers have not received their January 2020 monthly stipend due to what Officials of #Npower attributed to first; “technical problem with #Npower payment platform” and lately another version of excuse tagged “administrative bureaucracy”.

This situation has no doubt brought untold hardship to Volunteers as their plight has also gained media attention.

Perhaps, while others are of the opinion from abinitio that the delay of January 2020 payment now leading to February is probably because of anticipated upward review payment as their junior counterparts, NYSC Corps Members are already enjoying the minimum wage, a volunteer call Sanusi B, is of the opinion that the Minister in charge of Ministry of Disaster & Humanitarian Management is sabotaging the noble effort of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Let us read his epic opinion:

“The idea of #Npower by President Muhammadu Buhari was born in 2016 when there was high rate of unemployment and poverty in the land.

The first phase of the program is to serve as palliative measure in order to cushion the effect of unemployment and extreme poverty in the land.

The second phase is to move into what President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration tilled as ” Enhancement Stage”.

According to privy information via the former Minister of Agriculture, Mr Audu Ogbeh, he says in his preface of manual book given to #Npower Agro, that Npower Beneficiaries are to replace and revive Agricultural extension program that is dying and begging for attention.

Here is the Preface in question by Audu Ogbeh.

In another related development, #Npower NTeach is to aid under staff in various schools across the Nations and Npower NHealth as well as Npower NTech are all geared towards the same purpose.

With this in view, Volunteers across the country have been doing their work diligently with the hope that they would be given permanency before the second quarter of the year 2020.

Therefore, on behalf of #Npower Volunteers, with due respect to the current Minister in Charge of Npower, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq to say that Npower Beneficiaries have overstayed and that they are planning their exit plan before the end of 2020 is an unfair statement capable of causing panic among volunteers.

Thank you for your response. ✨

Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, Minister In Charge Of #Npower At The Ministry Of Disaster & Humanitarian Management

I considered the above statement as a statement capable of damping the spirit of #Npower Volunteers that will no time demotivate them to carry out their duties.

In addition, many Npower Beneficiaries considered the statement of Honorable Minister as a statement either directly or indirectly aimed at sabotaging the noble idea of Npower by President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government.

To be plain or factual, what was honourable thinking about enhancement scheme when she made that statement?

Is she telling the volunteers that Federal Government has suspended the enhancement scheme after these graduates have come this far?

At this point, I urge the Honourable Minister to go and study the aims of #Npower with those who conceptualized the idea instead of making statement contrary to the framework of Npower.

Hence, as we expect the enhancement scheme without further delay, I appeal to Npower Management to pay January and February stipends without further delay”

I even advise Federal Government to start sending #Npower to ministries and MDAs to replace vacancies as they have got enough requisite credentials to man any job available.

Thus, I am looking forward to see Npower Beneficiaries to take Senior cadre jobs in NNPC, CBN, CPC, NAFDAF, and so many others MDAs begging for their services.

At this juncture, let me commend President Muhammadu Buhari for introducing #Npower program and equally task him to henceforth mount his surveillance on Npower to make sure that the program moves to the next stage of enhancement scheme.

As I conclude, of what benefit would it be that after keeping these graduates for so long, with a promise of “an enhancement scheme” you allow them to go back to the street?

God forbid bad thing!

Long Live Federal Republic Of Nigeria

Long Live #Npower

Long Live #Npower Beneficiaries ( Our Permanency is sure by God’s grace )
