A chieftain and co-founder of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state, Capt. Joe Agada has called for the expulsion of a former governor of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Ibro Idris, and his son, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim from the party.
Speaking with news men in Abuja on Monday, Capt Joe Agada called on the state executive of PDP to summon an emergency meeting where the former governor and his son will be shown the way out of the party.
He called on party leaders and supporters to rise to the occasion and cleanse the state chapter of PDP from what he described as “Ibro’s nuisance and politics of greed”.
“Every election, Ibrahim Idris always constitutes himself as a demigod and he is becoming a nuisance to Kogi political development.
His greed is directly affecting the development of the entire state.
“Ibrahim Idris and his family are ungrateful to the people of Kogi state.
Kogi State has done more for them than have for the people.
Kogi state made him who he is today.
We have had enough of Ibrahim Idris and his ‘me-and-me-alone’ style of politics.
“Go round the state, party members have lost confidence in Ibrahim Idris.
As we speak, they may likely stone him if he comes around parading himself as leader,” he said.
Agada recounted how Alh. Ibrahim Idris fought the former governor of the state, Capt. Idris Wada who happened to be his friend.
He alleged that the later helped Ibrahim Idris by covering up his loots and gave him the freedom he currently enjoys from the searchlight of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Reacting to the nullification of PDP governorship primary election by the State High Court, Agada called on the leadership of the party not to keep quiet over Ibrahim Idris’ “obvious anti-party activities”.

He stated the former governor’s son and preferred candidate, Abubakar Ibrahim is not known to the party aside a few leaders who have mortgaged their conscience by turning Ibrahim Idris’ house to their sanctuary where they beg for money.
Agada said his position represents the overwhelming believe of the people and called on all well meaning Kogites to join the crusade to liberate the state from Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and his son.
