Heavy down pour leading to unprecedented flood in the history of Ibadan has rendered thousand of people homeless.
According to ourworldgist ‘s reporter, Oluleke Adeniyi, the flood occurred on Tuesday 30th June 2020 at about 4:45pm hour of the evening.
He added that cars, buildings and million of properties that are yet to be quantified were submerged around Oje Ife road of Ibadan city.
Oluleke Adeniyi reported that number of casualties were yet to be established as at the time of filing this report as rescue mission by volunteers and government agencies were still ongoing.
He stressed that thousand of people affected by the flood were seen moving around the city in clusters without regard to “social distancing role” of dreaded covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile ourworldgist on behalf of the residents of Ibadan is calling on the federal government and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state to wield into action, as we also advise the residents of the affected area to relocate to higher grounds.

It is very sad that we have such of kinds of flood at this crucial time of present situation of pandemic when peoples can not take three square meal talk less of buy building materials. The present administration should quickly take the bull by the horn and emulate the last administration by starts digging and expand the rivers and
stop playing politics with life of peoples under disguise of peoples governor progress please in Oyo state.
