Npower handler, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development (FMHASD), has reversed its earlier decision to disengage batch A and B in June and July respectively.
FMHASD through Mrs Rhoda, the spoke person of the Ministry revealed that as part of activities to mark the Ministry one year old, both batches A and B would be paid July stipend.
Confirming the development, the Npower branch of Lagos state stated on it official Facebook page that: “Both batch A & B will receive June and July stipends to mark one year anniversary since the ministry of Humanitarian affairs and disaster management took over, From FMHASD”.
Meanwhile, effort made by ourworlgist’s reporter to find out whether the payment would continue after July stipend proved abortive as the source didn’t give further information.
Recall that Npower beneficiaries across the 36 states of the federation including the FCT have been protesting since May over what the call unlawful disengagement from the program without enhancement scheme or permanency as earlier promised them during 2019 presidential polls.
However, the Npower beneficiaries through their National coordinator, Comrade Pele have vowed to continue with their protest until their demands are meant.

For the peace to keep reigning in Nigeria, I suggest Federal Government should transit all the N-power beneficiaries.
We can’t keep to entertaining the terrorist group that will destabilize the peace of the country, No matter how reach you are,you are at stake for the act.
Thanks for the news but only that can solve our problem ma.but permanency is what we need.
I appreciate the efforts of the honourable minister. However,l believe she has the influence to contribute more to nation building by convincing the presidency on our permanency or solid transition program.
