It was a side attraction as well as a comic relief for Abuja’s residents on Tuesday being 25th August 2020 as Governor Yahaya Bello ‘s Masquerade was stranded at the Supreme court premise, Abuja following the decision of the panel to reserve judgement in the case between Engr Musa Wada and Governor Yahaya Bello until 31st August, 2020.
The Masquerade who appeared at the Supreme court premise earlier hour on Tuesday did not hide his loyalty to Governor Yahaya Bello as his attire is visible spotted with different write-ups such as: “GYB, No Shaking”, ” GYB ANIBERA Ajanaku” “GYB ADAHI” “GYB Must Win” among others.
According to Aminu Ocho who happened to be an eye witness, he said, the Masquerade speaks Ebira which is Governor Yahaya Bello’s native language and a bit of broken English.
Meanwhile, it was a drama for onlookers of Abuja as the Masquerade was later abandoned following supreme court decision to postpone the gubernatorial election case between Engr Musa Wada and Governor Yahaya Bello.
Those who understand Ebira language could interpret from the Masquerade ‘s monologue that he has been abandoned and left for hunger.
As at the time of filing this report which is 3;45pm local time, the Masquerade was still moving up and down around supreme court ‘s premises Abuja with no one around him.
As people gather in the city centre of Abuja to talk about the Masquerade, the question many are asking is: “is the Masquerade going to remain around supreme court till on 31st August or he or she will return to Kogi before making a return?
We shall keep you posted in next 24 hours if there is positive development
