From all indication, Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, ( PDP ) has been reelected for Edo2020 Gubernatorial election having led his closest rival Eze Iyamu with over 100,000 votes advantage from INEC situation room in Edo.

With this development, many political analysts have described Governor Godwin Obaseki as Nigerian Christian Ronaldo who does not need political party to win election as he has now won governorship seat on two ocassions with two different political parties ( 1st APC in 2016 and now PDP in 2020 ).

Just like Christian Ronaldo who has won major leagues in Lisbon, Portugal, Manchester United, England, Real Madrid, Spain and, now Juventus in Italy.

Similarly, history equally has today being 20th September, 2020 that Eze Iyamu is the first person to have lost an election on two different political parties at that level in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, as Nigeria and the rest of the world await INEC’s official declaration, “Edo No Be Lagos” is now trending on twitter to tease Oshiomole and Tinubu who believe in imposition of candidate and doctrine of Godfatherism.

You recall that Tinubu in the last election removed the serving Governor in person of Ambode whom many believed was the best performing Governor at a time in what many judged as selfish interest on the part of Ahmed Tinubu.

Perhaps, there was a similar conspiracy between Tinubu and Adams Oshiomole but Edo people resisted that move with all the arsenals at their disposals and today history is being made.

Indeed, it is in order for “Edo No Be Lagos” to trend across all social networks.
