The minister in charge of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq has dared ICPC to publish the private account where the alleged school feeding program money to the sum of N2.67bn was diverted to saying that the ministry has no connection with the corruption scandals.
She described those casting aspersions on her person to reframe from doing so as she has no knowledge of the diverted fund.
Part of her statement reads, ” the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social development describes those casting aspersions on the Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq as malicious and unfair and calls on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission, ICPC to publish the names of persons, federal colleges and school heads whose names have been found to be associated with the missing funds, and also freeze the accounts where the said funds were diverted.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs therefore calls on the public to disregard the false reports being linked to the ministry as it is not in any way involved in the Federal Government Colleges School Feeding.”
Recall that #ourworldgist has earlier reported how ICPC has alleged that the sum of N2.67bn meant for school feeding program was diverted to private account.
Note, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social development under the Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq, is supposedly in charge of the school feeding program.
