The Christian Association of Nigeria, ( CAN ) Kogi State Chapter has condemned the attack on Dunamis Church, Anyigba by some miscreants who do not know their left from the right.

The President of the Association, Bishop John Ibenu condemned the attack on behalf of the body in Lokoja, Kogi State capital and promised that the perpetrators must be brought to book.

According to Bishop John Ibenu, he said “we continue to advocate for peace and calmness, however we will not be silent when matters of such gravity threatens the fabric of society”.

In his effort to ensure that Justice is served however, he said, when he heard about the ungodly incident, he immediately ordered for an immediate and unconditional release of those Pastors arrested and detained in the cause of the attack.

His full statement reads: “My dear Christian Community in Kogi State and specially in Anyigba in Kogi East, at 4:40pm yesterday (19/10/20), my attention was drawn to an ungodly attack on Christians on Prayer Walk for the Nation with arrest of some of the Pastors.

I immediately acted for the immediate and unconditional release of the persons which was effected.

Since then CAN has been at forefront of making sure that justice is done and that this condemnable act is addressed at Judicial, Governmental and Community level.

We continue to advocate for Peace and Calmness, however we will not be silent when matters of such gravity threatens the fabric of society.
Thank you”
