With heavy heart, family members, colleagues and friends were out in their numbers on Friday being 4th December 2020 to bid one of their own, Noah Salifu Omede final farewell, at his ancestral home, Ajadukwu in Ogbabede ward, Dekina local government area of Kogi State.
Late Noah Salifu Omede aged 64 died on 22nd November 2020 after a brief illness.
Until his death, he survived by a wife, Mrs Grace Omede, five children to include: Mr Eneojo Omede, Mrs Esther Agbali David, Mrs Ojochogwu Mercy Andrew, Tina Eikojonwa Omede and Reuben Ojochegbe Omede.
Late Noah Salifu Omede, an Educationist per excellent, a humanitarian, and God Ambassador on earth was a retired Principal having served in Ogbabede Community Secondary School, Agada ( OCSSA) between 1991-2009 and Biradu Community Secondary School, Abocho between 2009 to 2016.
Under the leadership of late Noah Salifu Omede principalship at OCSS,,Agada, the school was granted recognition to write WAEC and NECO in the year 2000, a fit that has remained indelible in every Ogbabede’s son and daughter after suffering many years of denial.
Late Noah Salifu Omede who started his career in 1983 as a class Teacher to become Principal in 1991 held a dual honours degree in Economics and Education from the federal University of Jos, Jos Plateau State in 1991 having previously acquired Nigeria Certificate Education ( N.C.E ) from Kastina-Ala in the then, Benue State in 1982.
Late Noah Salifu Omede held many positions of authority before his home call to include: Chairman, All Nigeria Confederation of Principal of Secondary Schools ( ANCOPSS ) Dekina LGA Chapter between 2006 to 2010, Chairman Kogi East ANCOPSS from 2011 to 2015 and also 1st Vice President Kogi ANCOPSS from 2015 to 2016, when he retired from service.
Late Noah Salifu Omede was a Protestant Christian and attended the Christian Mission in Many Land ( CMML ) Church, Anyigba and because of his strong faith in the word of the Lord Jesus Christ, He was part of the holy pilgrimage contingents from Kogi state in December 2009 to January 2010.
Pastor John Haruna ( CMML Secretary Church Affairs,, Anyigba ) and Pastor Sunday Jibrin ( CMML Church Headquarters Anyigba ) led other men of God to conduct the funeral service.
The burial ceremony which brought home illustrious sons and daughters of Dekina was also attended by Ex-students of OCSS, Agada led by Sani Michael Omakoji
