Socio-Economic Rights & Accountability Project ( SERAP ) has called on Nigerian National Assembly ( NASS ) to stop ex- Governors from life pension.

The body says a situation whereby an Ex-Governor who is also fortunate to be Lawmaker is collecting pension while still collecting allowances and salaries is unacceptable.

The body therefore urged the leadership of the Nigerian National Assembly
to urgently sponsor a resolution calling on all ex-governors serving as ministers and members of NASS to stop collecting life pensions and asking them to return the money already collected.
The body stressed that the call has become necessary due to economic misbehaviour on the part of those politicians.

Socio-Economic Rights & Accountability Project- (SERAP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal & advocacy organization. devoted to promoting transparency, accountability & respect for socio-economic rights in Nigeria.
