Developing Story has emerged how administrative bottleneck or what others call “leadership docility” is denying the new HND students admission into the Institution.

According to one of the students who spoke with ourworldgist but pleaded for anonymity, he said, he and many students did ND at the Institution and graduated since 2019 but cannot continue with HND programme at the moment due failure of the school to regularize students ND results on Joint Admission And Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) website.

When ourworldgist demanded further explanation how the issue of regularization is affecting them, the student in question responded thus; ” The practice any where in Nigerian Institutions is that students who come into higher institutions through ND program need to have their results regularize with JAMB in order to continue with HND

In our own case, we graduated since 2019 but to our greatest surprise, now that we are back for our HND program, the school is yet regularize the results with JAMB.

Infact, instead of the Institution to accept responsibility for their failure, rather she is now forcing the returning students to sign an undertaking stating that “if JAMB fail to give them admission, the school is not to be held accountable

By implication, the management of FPI is technically exonerating herself should JAMB fail to recognize the admission.

The question now on the lips of the affected students are:
1. why has FPI not regularize the ND results since 2019?
2. Why is FPI forcing the affected students to sign an undertaking for the offense they did not commit ?
3. And, why is FPI not ready to accept this obvious failure on her part?”

The students in their number, call on Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, State house of Assembly, President Muhammadu Buhari, National Assembly, Civil Society Organizations and other relevant authorities to come to their aid.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, all effort made by ourworldgist to reach out to FPI via its number provided on her website proved abortive as the number wasn’t reachable.
