The Council of Europe ( CU ) has announced the portal and criteria for the 2022 Grant for the Youth Campaign for revitalizing democracy.
According to the statement released by Council of Europe, “Youth campaign for revitalising democracy will run throughout the Council of Europe member states during the period from March to October 2022.
It aims at strengthening young people’s role in the process of revitalising participatory democracy and restoring mutual trust between young people and democratic institutions and processes.
The campaign will focus on three key themes: revitalisation of democracy, meaningful youth participation and digitalisation.
In the framework of the campaign, local, national and international activities will take place allowing young people, youth workers, youth organisations and youth policy institutions to shape the themes, the content and the outcomes of the campaign in the spirit of participatory democracy”.
The statement added that, “the EYF does not support individuals but only non-governmental youth organisations”.
The conditions to be eligible for grant funding, the application must concern activities that are:
1. Organised in the framework of the 2022 youth campaign;
2. Take place in a Council of Europe member state;
3. have a clear link to one or more of the key themes of the campaign: revitalisatin of democracy, meaningful youth participation and digitalisation;
4. start between March and October 2022, with six months of execution time at most.
