The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) National Assembly Screening Committee in Kogi State, on Wednesday, disqualified two House of Representative Aspirants for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency over various misconducts.
The affected Aspirants are Mamuda Yakubu Kampala and one Mr Tony Eneojo Isah both vying for Dekina/Bassa House of Representatives.
According to the result of the screening exercise released on Thursday in Lokoja, the state capital, showed that while other aspirants received the nod of the committee to proceed with their aspirations, Mamuda Kampala and Tony Eneojo were disqualified from the race.
Both were screened out because they are not registered voters in the Federal Constituency, and they are therefore, ineligible to participate in the senatorial election.
The committee report further explained that, for the fact that both of them are not eligible to vote or take part in an election in the Federal Constituency, that automatically forecloses their chances of benefiting from any vote cast in the district.
The report added that both have never have never voted for anyone in Federal Constituency and hence not qualified to run.
Similarly, an aspirant to the House of Representatives from the Idah Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Ismail Inah Hussain , was disqualified on the grounds of anti-party activities.
