Christians have been told to remain steadfast no matter the travail.
Pastor Mathew James Eleojo of Solemn Faith International Church, Port-harcourt, gave the admonition on Sunday being 18th June 2023 while preaching at this year “women Day of the Church”.
Preaching on the topic: “Travelling Men & Women”, Pastor Mathew said, “those who travail in life are those who eventually prevail”.
He gave example of Hannah in the Bible who was childless but eventually prevailed after she prayerfully sought the face of the Lord.
He explained that though travel means to pass through pain but added that for those who are steadfast and faithfully wait upon the Lord gain is inevitable.
Pastor Mathew who took his sermon from the books of 1Samuel 1: 10-20, Isaiah 66: 6-7 and Jeremiah 1: 19 added that to prevail one must understand the process of time; understands the law of differentiation and also avoid competition as well as comparison.
The women who were uniquely dressed were offered special prayer by Pastor and Mrs Mathew James shortly after special number from the women.
