A source close to Presidency, has cleared the air over the controversy surrounding the nomination of  Shaibu Abubakar Audu as a Minister designate of Federal Republic of Nigeria from Kogi State.

The source said, President Ahmed Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, who is a close friend of late Prince Abubakar Audu does need a third party to know how Kogi East People despite their population has been humiliated and marginalised since Audu’s demise adding that, the nomination of Alhaji Shaibu Abubakar Audu was a compensation to late Prince Abubakar Audu ‘s “political family”.

He added, ” Governor Yahaya Bello before Shaibu Abubakar Audu ‘s nomination as a Minister designate has earlier submitted three different names to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on two occasions but none of those names carries Shaibu Abubakar Audu’s name”.

The source further explained, why Governor Yahaya Bello and Senator Echocho had the privilege to know about Shaibu Abubakar Audu ‘s nomination was simply because, it is part of statutory requirement for Governor Yahaya Bello to sign on Shaibu Abubakar Audu ‘s form and that’s what took Abubakar Audu to Governor Yahaya Bello’s office in company of Senator Echocho which unfortunately orchestrated the arranged video of ” prostrating Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho”.

It was disclosed to OurWorldGist that even before Alhaji Shaibu Abubakar Audu, got to Governor Yahaya Bello’s office, Presidency had already called him to endorse on the form and he had no option than to obey.

An independent investigation by OurWorldGist  revealed that a trending video by Governor Yahaya Bello and that of one Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho representing Kogi East where senator Echocho is captured prostrating before Governor Yahaya Bello as sign of appreciation for Audu’s nomination as a Minister designate is a political gimmick to mislead the public and the people of Kogi East in particular that Governor Yahaya Bello was/ is instrumental to Shaibu Abubakar Audu ‘s nomination.

It is glaring that both Governor Yahaya Bello non Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho knew nothing about Shaibu Abubakar Audu ‘s nomination.

In the said Video, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho who received backlash from social media users particularly his immediate constituents, was quoted to have said in the video, ” Governor Yahaya Bello has over rewarded Kogi East”.

With this revelation, the people of Kogi East are advised to continue with their “agenda” not to be distracted by any political gimmick to scatter their votes but go in one direction.

Recall, Alhaji Shaibu Abubakar Audu, Son of late political icon, Prince Abubakar Audu was nominated as a Minister designate by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu himself in the second batches of the nominations to be part of his cabinet.
