In a Sunday service sermon today being 17th December 2023, at the Solemn Faith International Church, located at No 21 Federal Housing Estate Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Matthew James Eleojo delivered a powerful message on the transformative power of grace in the face of disgrace.
The sermon, titled “I am that I am Part Two,” delved into the central text Exodus 3:13-15.
Pastor Mathew emphasized that God may not reveal Himself above one’s knowledge of Him, citing Exodus 3:13-15 and Daniel 11:32. He defined “I am that I am” as the God of all Grace, referencing 2 Corinthians 9:8 and 1 Peter 3:11.
Grace, he explained, operates on different levels, including Normal Grace, Great Grace, Abundance Grace, Exceeding Grace, Sufficient Grace, and All Grace.
Drawing insights from the biblical figure Saul, who faced disgrace due to disobedience, Pastor Mathew highlighted Saul’s lineage from Benjamin.
Interestingly, the transformed apostle, Paul, also hailed from the same lineage, illustrating the power of divine grace.
Pastor Mathew provided practical steps for accessing God’s grace, urging believers to handle limitations and work on their mentality.
He stressed the importance of overcoming past mistakes, emphasizing that God doesn’t use one’s history to determine their future.
Some of his outstanding qoutes during the service are:
“For every disgrace, Grace has the answer.”
“If God of all Grace is on your matter, you will surely escape all the disgrace from Satan.”
“God of all Grace, I am that I am, can make the useless become useful and the disgrace to become engraced.”
The service included special prayers for the sick, prophecies, and other spiritual activities.
Notably, Pastor Mathew displayed compassion by distributing cash envelopes to widows in the church, ensuring they could enjoy Christmas festivities like everyone else.
