Late Pa Maji Ojogbané, a revered figure in Ibado Akpacha of Omala Local Government Area, Kogi State, was laid to rest at his compound in Ibado on 10th February 2024.
Late Pa Maji Ojogbané who survived by 6 wives, 26 children ( 2 deceased), 70 grand children, 9 great grand children and many relations passed away in November 2023 after battling an illness, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many.
At the age of 115, Late Pa Maji Ojogbané, born in 1908 into the esteemed family of Ojogbané Ocholi Amana Atta Ekele Aga in Geri via Akpacha, was a prominent community leader and a devout Christian, serving as an elder in the CEFN Church at Ibado Akpacha.
During the solemn burial ceremony, Reverend Mark Hassan, the Zonal Pastor of CEFN Church, Ibado Akpacha, fondly remembered Late Pa Maji Ojogbané as a devoted Christian who dedicated his life to God and humanity.
Also Speaking, Bishop John Ibenu, the General Overseer of Chapel of Freedom worldwide, Lokoja, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting Late Pa Maji Ojogbané’s unwavering love for God and his impactful presence in the community.
Hon. David Maji Ojogbané, speaking on behalf of the children, expressed deep gratitude for their late father’s unconditional love and inclusive nature.
