As BELLOS ( Bello, his wife & nephew) continues to take a hide out at government house Lokoja for fear of being arrested by Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), alot of dramas are ongoing within government house.
One of those dramas is a fight for relevant and supremacy at Government house Lokoja between the Ex Governor ‘s wife ( Rashidat Bello ) and Ododo’s Wife.
At the instruction of the defacto Governor of Kogi State who is ruling by proxy, Yahaya Bello, his wife, Rashidat Yahaya Bello is still maintaining all the official vehicles, official staff, domestic staff and even accommodation given to her while in power with her husband.
This development is causing unhealthy ralvary between Rashidat Bello and Ododo’s Wife as the supposed first lady, Hajiya Ododo felt relegated and overshadowed by Rashidat Bello, whose ordinarily should have been out of government house by now.
Even though, Rashidat Bello cannot come out openly because of EFCC ‘s fraud case hanging on her and other Bellos, she was reported to be carrying more entourages more than Ododo’s Wife within government house.
To technically kick Hajiya Ododo’s out of government house, Ex Governor Yahaya Bello has recommended his wife’s Younger Sister for Ododo to ask her hand in marriage so that she can take offer the position of first lady and protect the interest of her elder’s sister.
Bello’s reason for recommending his wife’s Younger Sister for Ododo according him was that: ” Ododo wife cannot speak English and as a wife of a sitting Governor, she should be able to communicate in English language” – Bello said.
Perhaps, this development doesn’t go down with Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo as he has asked some highly influential people from Ebira’s land to help him beg Ex Governor Yahaya Bello to drop the idea of marrying his wife’s Younger Sister.
Another angle to the development is that, Rashidat Bello is a native of Edo state with 80% of her staff from Edo State while Ododo’s Wife who they said is not educated is a core Ebira’s woman with 100% of her staff as Ebiras.
What this portends is that, Ododo’s Wife is having the backing of majority of Ebiras to continue as Ododo’s Wife while Rashidat Bello has little or no support from Ebiras in this fight.
Meanwhile, while EFCC continues to postpone the evil days for Bellos’ much anticipated arrest, we shall keep you posted as the dramas continue in Kogi House Lokoja.
