Some political pundits in Kogi State and beyond have described Senator Dagana Ocheni and Professor Daniel Isah as two personalities with questionable characters. This follows their involvement in a recent article titled “So-called Kogi East Shareholders,” where they criticized the prestigious Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for declaring former Governor Yahaya Bello wanted for misappropriating N84 billion of Kogi State’s money.
Okpanachi J. from Idah writes, “Dagana Ocheja is a political jobber who has never been a senator as claimed by the publication, but someone who was sacked by the court and ordered to pay back all the money he collected during the time he was erroneously declared as SENATOR.”
Alidu P. from Ajaka writes, “To set the record straight, Professor Stephen Ocheni was a part-time lecturer who never followed due process before he was promoted to Professor. In some prestigious institutions, Ocheni would only qualify as an assistant lecturer, not an almighty professor. He is definitely one of these political jobbers in Igala land, a personality who maneuvered his way to become a professor. His actions will soon lead to public disgrace.”
Abakpa writes, “Isah Daniel has no other means of livelihood other than political contracts to praise some disgruntled politicians like Bello and Ododo. We shall overcome them soon.”
Captain Odiba adds, “These people are known political criminals in Kogi East and will be taught a bitter lesson this time around. They were the same people who used the Audu/Faleke political family, but since Audu’s son became a minister, they have rebranded themselves as stakeholders. It’s important we inform the President that they do not speak for Kogi East but are merely broke politicians exploiting Bello’s desperation and blackmailing the EFCC. We, the elders of Kogi East, pass a vote of confidence in the EFCC and its leadership.”
Numerous pundits collectively called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to ignore these political figures and encouraged the EFCC to intensify efforts to arrest the wanted Yahaya Bello.
