Prophet Sampson Amoateng, founder and General Overseer of House of Miracles Ministries in Accra, Ghana, provided insight into the possibilities that come with possessing money in an exclusive interview. He said, “Money will give you options, control, and the ability to contribute to society.”
While discussing the significance of tithes and offerings, he explained that tithing is an ancient practice of giving a portion of one’s income to support religious institutions and the community.
This practice has been a cornerstone of religious tradition for centuries.
Tithing is a spiritual practice of gratitude and generosity, rooted in the biblical teachings of the Old and New Testaments (Deuteronomy 14, Malachi 3, and Matthew 6), where it is described as a way to honor God and recognize His provision.
Prophet Amoateng described paying tithes and offerings in church as a scriptural practice, emphasizing that giving should be voluntary, not forced. “I am against churches forcing people to pay tithe,” he said. “I am against pastors or churches forcing people to document their tithe cards.” He added, “My money is my thank you,” and described it as “carnal to document tithe cards.”
Tithing is a spiritual discipline that requires faith, trust, and obedience.
By setting aside a portion of our income, we acknowledge that everything we have belongs to God and that we are mere stewards of His resources.
Tithing demonstrates our gratitude for God’s blessings and provision, and it expresses our trust in His ability to provide for our needs.
As Jesus taught, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21).
Tithing helps us to prioritize our relationship with God and to store up treasures in heaven.
In addition to its spiritual benefits, tithing has practical advantages.
It helps to support the church and its ministries, enabling the spread of the Gospel and the care of the poor and needy.
Tithing also promotes financial discipline and responsibility, as individuals prioritize their giving and budget accordingly.
Furthermore, tithing fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility among believers, as we work together to support the work of the church.
Prophet Sampson, in an exclusive interview, said that Christianity is a love relationship and giving is from the heart.

Anything that is not from a man’s heart is not from God. He noted that nowadays, people who don’t even go to church give money to people they don’t know, and that’s the way to go, not by force.
Tithing is a vital aspect of religious practice that demonstrates our gratitude, obedience, and trust in God.
It is a spiritual discipline that requires faith and commitment but yields rich rewards in terms of spiritual growth and financial responsibility.
As we consider our relationship with God and our role in supporting the church, may we embrace the practice of tithing with joy and generosity.
By doing so, we will not only honor God but also contribute to the building of His kingdom on earth.
