Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James of Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, shared an empowering message in today’s service.
He described faith as the “live wire” of a believer’s life, emphasizing its critical role as the sustaining breath that enlivens their spiritual journey.
Preaching on the theme “Unlimited Power of Faith,” he highlighted passages from 1 Samuel 7:9 and Romans 4:19-21 to illustrate the vital role of faith.
Pastor Mathew elaborated on the transformative power of faith, outlining how it empowers believers to see beyond the visible, take on seemingly impossible challenges, and receive astonishing results.
He explained that faith allows one to perceive what is otherwise invisible, referencing biblical accounts from Romans, Corinthians, Genesis, and Isaiah. This, he pointed out, empowers believers to rely not solely on what is seen but on promises yet unseen.
Continuing his message, Pastor Mathew illustrated how faith dares the impossible through examples of biblical figures. He cited the unwavering obedience of Abraham, the courageous stance of Esther, and the victorious spirits of Joshua, Caleb, and Jehoshaphat.
By recalling these stories, he aimed to show how faith emboldens believers to face trials with unwavering confidence. Notable acts of faith also included the resilience of Daniel, the bravery of the three Hebrew boys, and Jesus’ extraordinary miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead.
According to Pastor Mathew, such narratives inspire believers to trust in the power of God when confronted with life’s most challenging moments.
Pastor Mathew further emphasized that faith delivers the incredible. Drawing from the story of Lazarus, he demonstrated how faith leads to miraculous outcomes and urged believers to nurture this trust.
He provided insights on the nature of faith, describing it as the spiritual breath that sustains every Christian’s journey, and referenced scripture from Habakkuk, Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews to reinforce this point.
Exploring the significance of faith, Pastor Mathew explained its necessity in pleasing God, emphasizing that a life grounded in faith brings favor and divine peace.
He shared that a believer who lives to please God will experience harmony even with their adversaries, receive blessings, and find divine escape from life’s pressures.
He underscored the value of faith in positioning believers for divine overflow, citing biblical assurances of abundance and peace.
Pastor Mathew encouraged his congregation to access faith through the Word of God, explaining that it is through scripture that believers strengthen their faith and prepare themselves for spiritual battles.
He shared thought-provoking quotes, including, “If you can see the invisible, you can handle the impossible,” and “Until the impossible becomes possible, the fulfillment of your destiny may not be possible.” These affirmations underscored his message on the undeniable power of faith in a believer’s life.
Today’s service also featured a momentous celebration as the Mathew Foundation marked Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James’s birthday with special recognition of church members.
