The newly elected President of the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA), Rtd Air Commodore Ahmed Abdullah, has praised the Onu Igala Forum in Abuja for its efforts in promoting unity, love, and development among Igala subjects residing in Abuja and its environs.
Alhaji Abdullahi gave the commendation during the launch of the inaugural almanac of the Igala Traditional Chiefs Forum in Abuja, held on November 30, 2024.
Speaking to OurWorldGist at the event, hosted at the palace of the overall Igala Chief in Abuja, Elder James Alabi Okai, Alhaji Abdullahi expressed delight in how the chiefs are administering their respective domains with love and a strong commitment to unity.
He encouraged them to sustain their efforts, emphasizing that unity, love, and peace are the cornerstones of meaningful development.
In his remarks, Elder James Alabi Okai, the overall Igala Chief in Abuja, lauded Igala sons and daughters in Abuja for their exemplary conduct and urged them to continue being good ambassadors of the Igala Kingdom.
The event also featured insightful lectures on the importance of unity, love, and peace among the Igala people, delivered by Dr. James Abalaka and technocrat Rekiyah Momoh Abaji, both distinguished son and daughter of the Igala Kingdom.
A highlight of the occasion was the presentation of awards to outstanding Igala sons and daughters, including Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa, former APC National Women’s Leader; Mallam Kerimu Paul, Chairman of Udama Igala Worldwide; Honorable Halims, a current member of the House of Representatives representing Ankpa/Olamaboro; and Distinguished Senator Ireti Kingibe, an honorary member of the Igala Kingdom.
The event drew a large gathering of notable Igala personalities, including national executives of Udama Igala Worldwide, led by Mallam Kerimu Paul (National Chairman), Sani Michael Omakoji (National Secretary), Akoh Muhammed (National Leader), and other prominent associations from the Igala Kingdom.
