The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senator, Ireti Heebah Kingibe, has been recognized for her exemplary leadership and impactful representation at the National Assembly.
She received an Excellence Award from the Igala community residing in Abuja, under the auspices of the Igala Traditional Chiefs Forum Abuja, in an event held at the palace of the Overall Chief of Igala in Abuja, Elder James Alabi Okai, on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The award presentation coincided with the maiden almanac launch of the forum for 2025.
Chief James Alabi Okai highlighted Senator Kingibeâs significant contributions, including her efforts in enacting quality legislation, human capital development, womenâs empowerment, and the provision of essential infrastructure.
Specific achievements noted included the installation of solar street lights and the donation of hospital equipment to healthcare facilities across the FCT.
Chief Okai further expressed the communityâs satisfaction with Senator Kingibeâs commitment to their welfare, noting that she has not only involved the Igala people in her developmental initiatives but also extended projects to areas where they reside in Abuja.
In recognition of her exceptional leadership, the Igala community adopted her as a âworthy daughterâ of the Igala Kingdom, granting her all privileges entitled to the daughters of the kingdom.
In her response, OurWorldGist gathered that Senator Kingibe expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue her efforts in advancing development for the Igala people and all residents of the FCT.
She described the honour as a motivating force to achieve even greater results.
During the event, Senator Kingibe donated N200,000 to support the organizers and gifted over 50 staff of office items to senior Igala chiefs in Abuja.
The well-attended occasion brought together prominent sons and daughters of the Igala community, further solidifying her bond with the group.
