The Senator representing Kogi East, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, has launched a free medical outreach for poor and vulnerable individuals across the nine local government areas that make up his constituency in Kogi State.
The outreach is staffed by a team of doctors, pharmacists, and other medical personnel who will examine patients, provide free medications, and perform surgeries where necessary.
Speaking to newsmen on Monday shortly after the launch, Senator Echocho, represented by Alhaji Danlami D. Garba, his Senior Legislative Aide, disclosed that the free medical outreach would cover all nine local government areas of Kogi East.
According to him, the initiative focuses on providing free medication for diabetes, hypertension, and malaria to less-privileged individuals in the area.
He further revealed that the medical team would also perform free eye surgeries, provide free medical glasses, and treat individuals suffering from hernia and dental issues.
Patients will receive thorough examinations, appropriate treatments, and free medications as part of Senator Echocho’s generous gesture to support his constituency.
The program coordinator explained that the event was flagged off at the Primary Health Care Center in Onyedega, Ibaji Local Government Area, where residents from various parts of the local government received free medical care.
The outreach is scheduled to extend to all nine local government areas of Kogi East, ensuring comprehensive healthcare access for the constituency
