At the Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James delivered a compelling message on The Manifestation of the Seven Spirits of God.
Drawing inspiration from Isaiah 11:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-10, he emphasized the vital role of divine wisdom and empowerment in the life of a believer. His sermon delved deep into the scriptural revelations on spiritual gifts, ministry functions, and the purpose of divine empowerment.
Highlighting the importance of the Five-Fold Ministry as outlined in Ephesians 4:11-12, Pastor Ele-Ojo explained that the roles of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are designed for the perfecting of the saints and the edification of the body of Christ.
He linked these to the Seven Spirits of God, referencing Isaiah 11:1-3, Revelation 1:4, 3:1, 4:5, and 5:6, explaining that these spirits represent God’s multidimensional operation in a believer’s life.
These seven spirits, he pointed out, are likened to the seven eyes and seven horns of the Lord, as seen in Zechariah 3:9 and Revelation 5:6, signifying divine insight and authority.
Moving deeper into the supernatural, the pastor expounded on the Nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:7-10. He underscored how these gifts are meant to foster unity among believers and highlight the diversity of abilities within the body of Christ while maintaining a singular devotion to one Lord.
Furthermore, he linked this to the Nine Fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, stressing that they serve as identifiers of a true believer. Citing Matthew 7:20 and Genesis 1:1-6, he illustrated how these spiritual attributes enable clear differentiation between those led by the Spirit and those who are not.
A key theme in the sermon was the necessity of spiritual empowerment. According to Pastor Ele-Ojo, the Holy Spirit empowers believers for profitable living, as seen in Proverbs 18:16, and for triumphant and victorious Christian living, supported by 2 Corinthians 12:29-30 and Ephesians 5:19-20.
He also noted that the presence of the Holy Spirit enables believers to command exploits in every area of life, referencing Acts 2:1-4.
Central to the message was the Spirit of Wisdom, which Pastor Ele-Ojo described as the raw manifestation of divine intelligence in a mortal man.
Quoting 1 Kings 10:6-8, he demonstrated how wisdom elevates individuals, allowing them to perform mighty works and speak profound words.
He cited examples of biblical figures endowed with the Spirit of Wisdom, including God Almighty (Psalm 102:24, Proverbs 3:19), Joseph (Genesis 41:37-39), Moses (Acts 7:22), and Solomon (1 Kings 3:4-17).
Others mentioned were Daniel, the three Hebrew boys, Apostle Paul, and Jesus Christ himself, whose wisdom astounded many (Matthew 13:54, Mark 6:2).
In explaining why believers need the Spirit of Wisdom, Pastor Ele-Ojo stated that wisdom is essential for reigning in life (Proverbs 8:14-15, Revelation 5:10), fostering creativity (Psalm 102:24, Genesis 1:1-11), and fulfilling destiny with ease (Exodus 3:1-6, Genesis 41:39-41).
He further emphasized that divine wisdom enables individuals to stand out among their peers, as demonstrated by Daniel and Bezalel (Exodus 31:1-6, Daniel 1:20).
Accessing the Spirit of Wisdom, he said, begins with recognizing that God is its ultimate source.
He urged the congregation to seek wisdom from the Lord, referencing James 1:5, 17, and Isaiah 11:1-3. By pursuing divine wisdom, believers align themselves with God’s plan for extraordinary exploits and impactful living.
Throughout the sermon, Pastor Ele-Ojo shared profound quotes, reinforcing key spiritual truths.
He described the Holy Spirit as a multi-dimensional, multi-operational, and multi-gifted Spirit, emphasizing that where the Seven Spirits of God exist, demonic forces must flee (Luke 8:2, Matthew 12:45).
He asserted that these spirits are available on earth to make stars out of believers, as Jesus himself declared in John 14:12.
One of his most striking remarks was that wisdom commands attention, whereas foolishness invites rejection.
He stated that anointing without wisdom leads to an unfulfilled destiny, pointing to Luke 2:52 and Acts 10:38 as evidence.
Concluding his message, he reminded the congregation that mighty works are a direct reflection of the Spirit of Wisdom in action, citing Isaiah 3:6.
He encouraged everyone to earnestly seek divine wisdom, as it is the gateway to a world of limitless exploits.
The congregation responded with enthusiasm, as many were inspired to pursue a deeper walk with God, armed with the knowledge that divine wisdom is the key to reigning in life.
Pastor Ele-Ojo’s message served as a powerful call to embrace the fullness of the Holy Spirit, ensuring that every believer is equipped for spiritual and earthly success.
