Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James of the Solemn Faith International Church located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, has said during today’s Sunday service that walking in dominion is a divine inheritance bestowed upon every Christian. Pastor Mathew made this revelation while preaching on the spirit of dominion.
In a passionate sermon that drew heavily on biblical narratives, Pastor Mathew described dominion as the God given authority to govern and exercise leadership over the territories entrusted to believers.
Citing scriptures from Genesis, 2 Samuel, and Luke, he explained that this authority is not only about ruling but also about fulfilling one’s unique assignment on earth.
The pastor stressed that to truly walk in dominion, believers must embrace a spirit of power a divine empowerment that equips them to overcome challenges, subdue spiritual giants, and claim the inheritance promised to them.
The sermon unfolded as a call to recognize that power, defined as the ability to control and direct, is essential for fulfilling the goals and assignments laid out by God.
Pastor Mathew illustrated that without this spirit of power, which is affirmed in passages from 2 Timothy and Acts, Christians cannot fully realize their potential or command the tangible and spiritual blessings available to them.
He emphasized that this power is not achieved by mere human effort but is accessed through a renewed spiritual life a life marked by rebirth, a disciplined routine of prayer and fasting, and unwavering obedience to God’s word.
Moreover, the pastor connected this empowerment to practical aspects of everyday life.
He argued that the same spirit of power is needed to restore family bonds, correct longstanding errors, and break free from negative cycles of oppression. By overcoming these obstacles, believers not only safeguard their personal and familial well-being but also prepare the way for the outpouring of overdue blessings.
In his message, Pastor Mathew noted that true dominion comes with the responsibility to deconstruct all forms of spiritual and societal oppression, enabling a renewed state of order and abundance as envisioned in the scriptures.
Throughout the sermon, Pastor Mathew underscored that dominion is not merely an abstract concept but a living, dynamic inheritance that must be actively claimed and exercised.
He warned that until a believer fully embraces the power God has endowed, the promise of dominion and with it, the overflowing blessings will remain out of reach.
His fervent delivery left the congregation with a renewed sense of purpose, encouraging them to pursue spiritual empowerment with both determination and humility.
