Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James , the presiding pastor of Solemn Faith International Church located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, has declared that sharing testimonies positions individuals to receive more blessings from God.

He emphasized that “testimony shared qualifies one for God’s reserve testimony,” a statement he made during the Sunday service where he preached on the topic Understanding the Power of Testimony.

Preaching from Exodus 25:16, Acts 14:3, and Revelation 19:10, Pastor Mathew highlighted the profound significance of testimonies in the life of a believer.

He explained that testimonies are not merely personal experiences but spiritual declarations that affirm God’s faithfulness and power in the midst of His people.

He noted that a testimony is the believer’s way of declaring the acts of God in their lives, families, and careers.

It is a public witness of God’s wonders and a return of all glory, honour, and praise to Him in thanksgiving. Pastor Mathew emphasized that testimonies also serve to showcase God’s rapid intervention, especially in cases of healing and deliverance.

According to the pastor, testimonies have multiple spiritual benefits.

They attract God’s dwelling presence, initiate signs and wonders, and build boldness and confidence in the heart of the believer.

He further added that testifying can lead to total wholeness and secure all-round victory for the one who shares.

Pastor Mathew reminded the congregation that testimonies are not the property of man, but of God. Citing several scriptures, he explained that God Himself testifies, and His testimony is both sacred and sure.

He warned believers never to underestimate any testimony, as even the smallest ones can carry divine power and significance.

He urged the church not to shy away from sharing their testimonies. Referencing 2 Timothy 1:8, he said that believers should not be ashamed to tell what God has done for them, no matter how small it may seem.

Sharing testimonies, he noted, is a spiritual act that speaks the word of God, prophesies to souls, celebrates the Giver, and encourages others to trust in God’s power.

In discussing the qualifications necessary for receiving and maintaining testimonies, Pastor Mathew highlighted the need for faith in God, humility, and a grateful heart. He warned against self-exaltation and ingratitude, saying that such attitudes can hinder the flow of God’s blessings.

He also encouraged the church to develop a love for testimonies and to associate with people who value them.

He pointed out that testimonies serve as a convincing tool for others to know who God is and what He can do. Keeping a proper record of testimonies, he said, helps to strengthen faith and encourages continued trust in God. In his words, “When you keep a record of what God has done, you become a living testimony.”

Pastor Mathew further declared that testifying brings triumph. According to him, when believers speak of what God has done, they reinforce their spiritual victory and align themselves for new manifestations.

He concluded by stating that the testimonies shared today are the seeds for the next miracles that God has reserved for His people.

However, he issued a cautionary note, urging the congregation not to over-celebrate themselves when giving testimonies.

He said that pride and self-glorification can cause God to withdraw His presence, thereby cutting off the flow of blessings.

The Sunday service featured high praises from the church choir, the Solemn Voice, who led the congregation in thanksgiving for all that God had done. The atmosphere was charged with joy and gratitude, as members recounted God’s goodness in their lives.

In his closing remark, Pastor Mathew affirmed that testimonies are doors to greater levels in life.

He stressed that those who boldly share their testimonies before men open themselves to new realms of divine favor and breakthrough.
