The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James, has emphasized that faithful men are future-minded individuals.
He made this statement during today’s church service, which marked the celebration of the congregation’s annual Men’s Day.
Preaching on the topic “Able Men” with the Bible text drawn from Exodus 18:21, Pastor Mathew described the qualities that make a man truly able.
He stressed that able men are those who fear God, live by the truth, reject covetousness, take responsibility, and remain faithful.
He also highlighted the value of being men of strength, valor, and courage individuals willing to lay down their lives for the good of others.
In his message, Pastor Mathew asserted that “Fear for God is your feather to fly,” adding that no man can bear fruit without being known for truth. He warned that covetousness is the enemy of contentment and cautioned against avoiding responsibility, noting that “Excusing yourself from taking responsibility makes you a liability.”
Pastor Mathew concluded with a charge that faithful and courageous men those who are willing to stand for truth and sacrifice for others are the kind of men who shape the future.
Earlier, Pastor Mathew Ele-Ojo James, has declared that holiness is the key to wholeness, prosperity, and a life of boldness.
Speaking during Sunday’s service, where he preached on the topic “The Beauty of Holiness” with scriptural references from Psalm 29:2 and Psalm 96:9, Pastor Mathew reminded the congregation that sin, though often deceptive and temporarily pleasurable, ultimately leads to destruction.
He explained that holiness is living in complete and total obedience to God, stressing that it forbids weakness and strengthens boldness to and confidence in a man.
According to him, the joy of eternity far outweighs the fleeting pleasures of sin, and when a believer chooses to obey God wholeheartedly, “everything will obey you abundantly.” He further emphasized that holiness not only attracts wholeness but also leads to prosperity, countering the belief that it brings poverty.
Throughout the sermon, Pastor Mathew urged worshippers to guard against the subtle influences that lead to sin, and to seek the baptism of the Spirit of Holiness, which empowers believers to live above reproach. He contrasted the destructive nature of sin with the constructive power of righteousness, encouraging the church to make holiness a top priority if they desire a prosperous destiny.
The service featured a powerful ministration from the church’s choir, Solemn Voice, whose songs stirred deep worship. Explosive prayer sessions followed, and members shared massive testimonies of God’s intervention in their lives.
The atmosphere was charged with faith, leaving the congregation inspired to pursue a life of holiness with renewed passion.
