It was a moment of divine encounter at Solemn Faith International Church, Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, as Rev. Samuel Paul Itodo, guest minister from Foundation Faith Church, Makurdi, Benue State, delivered a stirring message titled “When God Showed Up.”
Drawing from Genesis 21:1-2, Rev. Itodo explained that when God shows up in a person’s situation, delays are transformed into testimonies and what once seemed like a mess becomes an inspirational message.
He described God’s intervention as a divine interruption an act where
He steps into human stories, bringing prophecy to fulfillment, shifting seasons, and terminating long-standing problems.
Citing biblical examples such as Sarah, the man with infirmity for 35 years, and the children of Israel, the preacher emphasized that divine visitation causes darkness to disappear and ushers in the light of God’s glory.
According to him, such moments turn shame into joy and accelerate what had once been delayed.
Rev. Itodo urged the congregation to remain expectant, cry out in faith, live a pure and holy life, and stay prayerful and worshipful, while holding firmly to the word of God.
He noted that expectation attracts manifestation, and that true inspiration in God always brings tangible results. “When God shows up,” he declared, “your mess becomes a message, and your story becomes a testimony of favour.”
The service was marked by vibrant worship, powerful renditions from the church choir Solemn Voices and explosive prayer sessions that left the congregation uplifted.
In his closing benediction, the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Mathew Ele-Ojo James, charged the people to allow God to take over every situation in their lives.
The service ended with fervent prayers and declarations of blessings over the congregation, leaving worshippers with renewed faith and hope.
