The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, located at Plot 21, Road 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James, has emphasized that mocking the less privileged is an act of mocking God.

He made this profound statement during today’s Sunday service while preaching on the message titled “Keys to Accessing and Sustaining the Blessing, Part Four.”

Drawing from the scriptures in Genesis 1:28 and Deuteronomy 15:11, Pastor Mathew explained that one of the fundamental keys to accessing and sustaining divine blessings is showing compassion to the needy.

According to him, kindness to the less privileged is never wasted, as reflected in Proverbs 14:31.

He further noted that acts of giving carry spiritual benefits such as divine deliverance, answers to prayers, escape from lack, and even the transfer of wealth.

Citing Mark 10:21, Proverbs 28:27, Psalm 41:1, and other supporting scriptures, he stressed that God responds to the cries of those who help others in need.

Pastor Mathew added that true honor for God is demonstrated through acts of kindness, noting that it is the blessing of God not human effort that makes a person.

He remarked that blessing is never meant for oppression and that people often remain in need simply because others refuse to respond to God’s call to assist.

According to him, following Jesus leads to a life of abundance, and blessings naturally attract more blessings when believers are willing to be a blessing to others.

Continuing in the same message, Pastor (Mrs.) Hope Matthew also addressed the congregation, teaching from Genesis 1:22 and 28.

She highlighted that God becomes serious with those who take Him seriously, referencing Genesis 9:1.

She explained that remembrance, faithfulness, and thanksgiving are essential pathways to sustaining the blessings of God.

She noted that blessings come “precept upon precept, line upon line,” stressing the importance of following due process in one’s walk with God.

Pastor Hope added that men often recognize God in the lives of His followers because of the blessings they manifest.

She encouraged believers to acknowledge God as the source of every increase and to understand that nothing in life becomes a blessing without a heart of gratitude.

Supporting her message with scriptures such as Job 36:24, Malachi 2:2, 1 Timothy 4:4, and 1 Thessalonians 5:18, she reminded the church that God shares His glory with no one, and thanksgiving opens the door for continuous blessings.

The service featured electrifying worship led by the Solemn Voice choir and was marked by several mind-blowing testimonies that further affirmed the day’s teachings.
