Following the ruling of the Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had no candidate in the November 16, 2019 governorship election.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate Engr Musa Wada has instructed his lawyer to file an appeal to challenge that kwashiorkor judgement.
Engr Musa Wada who described the judgement as outrageous and funny vowed to claim his mandate at court of appeal in short time.
He therefore, appealed to his teaming supporters not to give up on the struggle but rather believe that judiciary still remain the hope of common man.
He added that his supporters should see the lokoja court ruling as a mere temporary set back stressing that INEC report and police report submitted to the court respectively shows that there was a primary election and that a winner ( Engr Musa Wada) emerged and the peoples Democratic Party also admitted to the fact that Engr MUSA Wada remains the party’s sole and recognized candidate that it sponsored in the last election.
For record, Engr Musa Wada is currently in Tribunal challenging the declaration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the winner of Kogi November 16th controversial election that was marred by massive rigging and helicopter snatching boxes as well as shooting innocent Kogites.

The ruling was in a pre-election matter filed by Abubakar Idris, son of former Governor Ibrahim Idris, which challenged Engr Musa Wada’s candidature.
Justice Olorunfemi said: “Neither the claimant, Abubakar Idris, nor the defendant, Musa Wada, can lay claim to be the authentic candidate of the PDP since the primary was inconclusive.”
The judge noted that Idris, who averred that he would have won the primary if the missing votes which belonged to him were added to his votes, could not convince the court to deliver judgment in his favour.
He added that the Wada could also not convince the court that he won the primary which was marred with rancour and acrimony, arising from pandemonium, due to sporadic gunshots which compelled the participants to scamper for safety.
Meanwhile PDP as a party has also reacted to the judgement.
