The Supreme Court has declared Senator Hope Uzodimma as governor of Imo State.
The seven-member panel of justices today held that Emeka Ihedioha was not duly elected Governor.
You recall that Senator Hope Uzodimma has gone to court to challenge how Emeka Ihedioha emerged PDP’s gubernatorial candidate alleging that due process was not followed and as such Emeka Ihedioha was not qualified.
With this judgement, PDP has lost control of power in Imo as Senator Hope Uzodimma of APC takes over the affairs of Imo State.
Meanwhile, the result of the last gubernatorial election Imo State was given as follows:
PDP: Ihedioha Emeka = 273,404
AA: Uche Nwosu = 190,364
APGA: Ifeanyi Ararume = 114,676
APC: Hope Uzodinma = 96,458
YPP: Ikedi Ohakim 527
From the above result, Hope Uzodinma of APC took 4th position out of the five candidates in contention.
The questions Nigerians and the rest of the world are now asking are that, how did Hope Uzodinma emerge as winner at supreme court from his 4th position?
Could it be that if Emeka Ihedioha who overwhelmingly emerged as a winner was not qualified to contest, what about Uche Neosu of AA and Ifeanyi Ararume of APGA who took second and third position respectively?
Is Nigeria still practicing democracy or is now practicing APC?
