As part of effort to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on women, federal government has announced 45% slot specially reserved for women.
The Minister in charge of Trade and investment who also doubles as chairperson on the said fund, Ambassador Mariam Yalwaji Katagun disclosed this on Saturday evening while addressing good number of related cases on her official twitter handle.
According to part B aspect of her tweet, she said “special focus will be given to 45% female owned MSMEs and therefore encouraged more female young people to key into the scheme”.
Earlier, she gave a rundown of different tracks of the MSMEs Survival Fund to include:
– Payroll support
-Artisan and Transport support
– formalisation support (free CAC Business name registration
-General MSMEs grant among others.
She therefore enjoined women folk to take advantage of this golden opportunity to tap into the various programmes available for economic recovery.
