A sociocultural group known as ANÉ IGALA RESTORATION ( AIR ), has felicitated with Igala Kingdom as the new ‘Ata’ designate, Prince Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa returns from his hunting expedition.
In a press statement signed by the Deputy National Secretary of the association,Salifu Oguche Usman,Esq, the association expressed optimism that the coronation of the new ‘Ata Igala’ after an unfortunate demise of the former, would restore the lost glory of Igala Kingdom.
Part of the statement reads:
“Ané Igala Restoration(AIR) wishes to inform all Igala sons and daughters globally that activities marking the transformation of Prince Matthew Alhaji Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa from the Royal Prince of the Igala Nation to Aidokoanya and subsequently the “Agabaidu Attah” Igala has commenced with the historical burning down of Attah’s house at Ugwolawo and followed by the subsequent procession from Ugwolawo to Idah on 9th November, 2021.
Ané Igala Restoration (AIR) further uses this medium to encourage all Igala sons and daughters, both at home and elsewhere including those in Edo, Delta, Anambra, Enugu, Benue and other states where Igalas are indigenous to troupe out in Mass to join the Igala Royalty in this historical journey and moment”.
The statement also added this period should be seen as an opportunity for all Igala sons and daughters be part of this all times historical moment.
The statement which implored all Igala’s sons and daughters to join hands with the AIR to support the new ‘Ata’ to succeed equally prayed that as Royal Prince transforms, “may Igala Nation and its People witness unprecedented growth, peace and development”
