Disobedience Of Court Order: SMO Says, Supreme Court Is Reaping The Dividends Of Her Corrupt Practices

A Public Affairs Analyst and a social Commentator, Mr Sani Michael Omakoji  ( SMO ), has justified the disobedience of Supreme Court order over the old Naira notes by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sani Michael Omakoji, gave his credence to the disobedience on his official Facebook page on Thursday being 16th February 2023 shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari’s official broadcast to the Nation on the lingering issue of whether to use old Naira notes ( N200, N500 & N1,000 ) or not.

SMO, who accused Supreme Court of giving fraudulent judgements in past for exchange of ‘money bag’, also said, Supreme Court is reaping the dividends of her corrupt practices in both the past and the present.

In his article titled: Supreme court Vs CBN/Baba Buhari, Sani Michael Omakoji writes thus:
“Alot pumping up on my social media notification largely accusing the Central Bank of Nigeria, ( CBN ) and President Muhammadu Buhari of not respecting supreme court judgement on the redesigning of Naira.

Which Supreme Court do you guys want CBN or Baba Buhari to respect?

I don’t know why we forget events easily in this country.

Is the same Supreme Court that made someone who took fourth position in an election as the governor of Anambra state or which one?

Recently, the same Supreme Court gave senatorial tickets to two candidates who did not participate in the primary elections.

That is, the dou of the current senate President, Ahmed Lawan and Senator Godswill Akpabio.

I know case is not won on sympathy neither by emotion but on fact, judicial precedents and laid down constitution of the land.

Now, tell me, on what technicality did someone who did not participate in the primary election become a candidate?

If we keep records of abuse of institution our Supreme Court has caused in this Nation, it is as good as concluding that we have no judiciary in place under which Supreme Court exists.

The light of Governor Yahaya Bello who is in Supreme court today over this redesigning of Naira is also one of the benefactors of supreme court’s fraudulent judgement in the past as Supreme Court ruled in his favour after ‘money bag’ that over voting, thuggery, hooliganism, and helicopter rigging were never enough to cancel an election.

As it is today in Nigeria, Government in power always have her way at the supreme court but this time around, is government in the presidency against government outside the presidency and the honest revelation here is that the masses are with the government of the presidency on this matter.

In few words, Supreme Court is actually reaping the dividends of her corrupt practices in the past, and present.

Perhaps, not until Supreme Court reverses all her fraudulent judgements in the past, she has no legality or institutional justification to challenge CBN/ Baba Buhari on this matter.

Afterall, in law, it is said that he who comes to equity must come with a clean hand”.
