pastor Mathew James Eleojo, of Solemn Faith International Church, Port-harcourt has said Christians who live sinful life are bound to face calamity and untimely death.
Pastor Mathew James Eleojo, made this known during the Church service that held on Sunday being 6th August 2023.
Preaching on the topic, Engaging the force of Joy ( Sub Topic: Enemies of Joy ) with the Bible readings from 1Peter 1:8, Isaiah 43: 19, Psalms 100: 4, Mathew 27: 45 – 47, Exodus 23:25 among others, he said, sin corrupts one mentality, blocks one voice from being heard by God , exposes one to calamity and also shorten one’s life.
He enjoined Christians to work towards holiness and be cautious of heavenly race stressing that there is dignity and benefits when one imbibes in the act of holiness .
To be free from the trouble of the world and enjoy long life therefore, Pastor Mathew added that he or she must be born again, embraces the word of God, fear the Lord, and follows the ways of the Lord.
Whilst offering prayers to God to give the congregation grace to live a life of holiness, Pastor Mathew also charged them to be fervent in prayers in order to enjoy God’s direction.
Earlier, there was a special number by Solemn Glorious voice Choir who sang to the admiration of the congregation.
