The Udama Igala Organization worldwide has issued a stern warning to Minister of Steel, Shaibu Audu, urging him to dedicate his efforts to his ministerial duties and to refrain from disseminating misinformation to President Ahmed Tinubu concerning the Igala community.

This admonishment came to light following allegations that Audu had sent an email to President Tinubu, purportedly advocating on behalf of the Igala community for the cessation of the ongoing Kogi election tribunal.

The organization expressed its dismay over Audu’s attempts to influence the presidency to derail the election tribunal process in Kogi State.

“Minister Shaibu Audu does not have the authorization of the Igala people to represent their interests,” the organization stated.

They criticized Audu for assembling a group to persuade President Tinubu to endorse Ahmed Ododo’s contentious candidacy, labeling such actions as highly regrettable.

The statement further highlighted the contradiction of Audu’s actions given his heritage as the son of the late Prince Abubakar Audu, a revered figure in Kogi and beyond, noting the inappropriateness of his involvement in such controversial endeavours.

The organization made a heartfelt plea to President Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to ensure that justice prevails in the Kogi election tribunal.

They expressed a desire to see an end to the kind of governance exemplified by former Governor Yahaya Bello under President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure, emphasizing Bello’s defiance during the presidential election which saw him refusing to step aside for Tinubu despite widespread appeals.

The Udama Igala Organization worldwide is closely monitoring the outcome of the Kogi Election Tribunal, hoping it will restore integrity to the judiciary and end the prevailing system of governance that they view as detrimental to the state’s welfare and its people.
