The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (#NNPC) says it has employed 1,050 graduate trainees cut across the 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory.
According #NNPC information Unit, the employment is the result of the recruitment exercise announced in March 2019.
The corporation said it ensured that national spread was reflected in the recruitment process.
In a press release by #NNPC, part of the statement reads “We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the #NNPC 2019/2020 recruitment exercise for graduate trainees (GTs)”.
“Consequently, we have commenced the issuance of provisional offers of employment to 1,050 graduate trainee candidates.
“In delivering this important assignment, we have ensured that the outcome reflected national spread and that all statutory requirements are complied with.”

The corporation said its recruitment exercise will be a continuous one.
“The recruitment exercise in #NNPC will be a continuous process and in this regard, the experienced hire (EH) component will be addressed in due course.
“In closing, we look forward to warmly receiving our new team members and working with them to build a corporation that all Nigerians will be proud of.”
Recall that, in March 2019, Ndu Ughamadu, the corporation’s spokesman, had said the recruitment would cover engineering and administrative areas.
“We are going to recruit people from different engineering fields, especially fresh graduates and equally in the administrative areas,” he said at the time.
He also explained that the recruitment would be in three categories; fresh graduates, senior officers/ supervisory cadre and managerial cadre.
