At Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James  delivered a powerful sermon during Sunday service on the theme “From Glory to Glory,” focusing on the transformative Impact of Glory in the life of believers.

In a sermon marking the 7th years anniversary of the Church, Pastor Matthew drew from the scriptures Isaiah 60:1-5 and 2 Corinthians 3:18, to highlight the pivotal role of God’s glory in dispelling darkness, elevating believers, and bringing divine protection and provision.

In his message, Pastor Matthew emphasized that the manifestation of God’s glory automatically eliminates all forms of darkness, whether physical or spiritual.

He referred to Isaiah 60:1-3 and Revelation 21:23-24, stressing that darkness and glory cannot coexist.

Using the example of the Israelites during the Exodus, he recalled how they lived in light, while Egypt was engulfed in darkness (Exodus 10:22-23).

Pastor Matthew further explained that the arrival of glory transforms a person’s status, leading to increase and multiplication, referencing Jeremiah 30:19 and Daniel 11:39. He elaborated that glory commands reverence, either through voluntary surrender or by the overwhelming presence of God, as seen in 2 Chronicles 7:3 and Psalm 18:44.

A key element of the sermon was the protection and preservation that come with God’s glory.

Pastor Matthew pointed out that premature death is impossible in the presence of glory, citing Moses’ longevity (Deuteronomy 34:1-7) and the divine protection experienced by the Israelites (Exodus 33:18-24).

Moreover, he emphasized that glory eliminates shame and disgrace, replacing them with honor and dignity, as reflected in Joshua 5:9 and Exodus 33:18-19.

Pastor Matthew also assured the congregation that God’s glory guarantees divine protection, shielding believers from any form of attack (Isaiah 4:5). He added that where glory resides, lack and want are expelled, and supernatural provision abounds (Philippians 4:19).

The pastor encouraged believers to live progressively, as God’s glory forbids setbacks and propels individuals into continuous forward movement and success, quoting Numbers 23:24 and Exodus 33:18-24. To tap into the transformative power of glory, he urged the congregation to consistently give glory to God, remain in His presence, and embrace joy, citing 1 Peter 1:8 and Psalm 11:16.

Additionally, he advocated for prayer, fasting, sacrifice, worship, and praise as essential practices to invite God’s glory, referencing Moses’ encounter with glory after a period of fasting (Exodus 34:28-30).

The service at Solemn Faith International Church concluded with powerful testimonies from congregants and a stirring performance by the Solemn Voice Choir. Pastor Matthew wrapped up his sermon with a declaration that those who experience God’s glory are destined for greatness and will move with supernatural speed.

The message resonated with attendees, reminding them that embracing God’s glory leads to greatness, while ignoring it results in forfeiting the benefits of divine light, protection, and provision.

Meanwhile, the 7th years anniversary of the church was marked by special ministrations from invited guests including Evangelist Wisdom Philip Of CFM Church Lagos and other anointed men of God.

There was also cutting of cake by church Leaders and taking of group photograph symbolizing love and togetherness among the congregation.
