At Solemn Faith International Church located at road 21 plot 14 Federal Housing Estate Woji Port Harcourt, Pastor Matthew Steve Runyi delivered an inspiring message during the sermon series, “The Unlimited Power of Faith.” that featured the Impactation of Faith
Drawing from Romans 4:19-21 and Matthew 17:20, Pastor Runyi emphasized how faith serves as a foundational force in a believer’s connection with God and spiritual growth.
He described faith as the essential basis of a Christian’s relationship with God, citing Hebrews 11:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9, and James 1:6.
This connection, he noted, brings strength to overcome life’s inevitable challenges, supported by passages like Isaiah 40:31 and Psalm 46:1-2. Pastor Runyi explained that faith enables miraculous interventions and inner peace during uncertainty, referencing Philippians 4:6-7 and John 14:27.
In guiding the congregation to nurture their faith, he pointed to Hebrews 11:1 and Romans 10:17, stressing the importance of hearing and internalizing God’s word. He encouraged daily steps of faith and affirmations, underscoring the importance of trusting God’s timing with verses like Job 22:28 and Ecclesiastes 3:1.
Pastor Runyi spoke about the transformative nature of faith, likening it to a force that empowers believers to overcome adversity, as exemplified by Matthew 17:20.
He reminded the congregation that faith invites God’s power into every aspect of life, assuring that “with faith, nothing is impossible with God.”
Adding to the message, Pastor Mrs. Hope Matthew spoke on faith as an unshakeable trust in God, grounding her points in scriptures like Numbers 23:19 and Romans 3:7. She described faith as a confident expectation in God’s promises, embodying assurance even before physical evidence, as suggested in Hebrews 11:1.
She highlighted faith’s power in overcoming fear and sustaining believers through life’s journey, with examples from Habakkuk 2:4 and Galatians 2:20.
Pastor Mrs Matthew used stories of biblical figures like Abraham and Esther to illustrate how faith conquers the fear of the past, present, and unknown.
She closed with powerful reminders that faith is “the strong key in the kingdom,” citing Romans 4:20 and declaring that where faith stands, fear loses its hold.
Meanwhile, the general overseer of the Ministry, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James concluded both sermon that Faith is the beckrock for any Christian or believers to overcome all forms of difficulties and challenges urging the congregation to always use faith as an armour to running effective Christian ‘s race.
The service, filled with uplifting worship by the Solemn Voice Choir and testimonies of faith in action, left the congregation inspired and encouraged to live with bold, unwavering trust in God.
