Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James, of Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, delivered a compelling sermon during today’s service, warning the congregation about the dangers of wavering faith.
According to the pastor, a Christian with shaking faith is on the verge of sinking their life.
Drawing inspiration from Romans 4:19-21, Pastor James preached on the theme “Unlimited Power of Faith Pt. 4”.
He emphasized that faith never leaves anyone as a victim of circumstances but grants access to victory.
This is echoed in biblical passages such as 1 Timothy 6:12 and Ephesians 6:10-17, which highlight the triumphs accessible through unwavering belief.
During his sermon, Pastor James explained the necessity of faith in the life of a believer.
He stated that faith is the foundation of Christian living, enabling individuals to stand firm, walk with God, and obtain victory over challenges.
He further elaborated that faith shields believers, makes them whole, and grants access to their divine inheritance, as supported by scriptures like Matthew 14:28-31 and Galatians 3:11-14.
The pastor also explored the foundations of faith, pointing to the word of God as its bedrock.
Quoting Romans 10:17, he emphasized that faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word.
He further explained that conservation, sanctification, and genuine love are vital in building strong faith, citing examples from Exodus 19:9-10 and Galatians 5:6.
Throughout the sermon, Pastor James shared thought-provoking quotes to drive his message home. “Where faith is shaking, life is sinking,” he declared, referencing Matthew 14:29-31.
He also stated, “Faith does not make you a victim of circumstances but grants you victory instead,” underscoring the transformative power of faith in navigating life’s battles.
Pastor James highlighted that faith, when deeply rooted in the Word, produces resilience and fruitfulness.
He added that “to live is to lead, but to exist is to expire,” urging believers to actively cultivate their faith for a victorious life.
According to him, strong faith dissolves even the longest battles, while faked faith devalues life and its results.
The service also featured powerful ministrations by the Solemn Voice Choir and testimonies from members, showcasing God’s faithfulness and the impact of faith in their lives.
Pastor James concluded with a reminder that a strong foundation in faith, rooted in love and holiness, is key to a fulfilling Christian journey.
