The Senior Pastor of Solemn Faith International Church, located at road 21 plot 14 Federal Housing Estate Woji PortHarcourt, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James , has declared that the spirit of dominion is essential in subduing, overcoming, and conquering fear. He made this revelation during today’s sermon titled “The Spirit of Boldness for Walking in Dominion.”

Drawing scriptural references from Romans 8:15, Isaiah 11:2, and 2 Timothy 1:7, Pastor Matthew emphasized that boldness is not merely an attribute but a spiritual force that empowers believers to stand firm in their faith.

He described boldness as the state of being courageous, citing Joshua 1:3 and Joshua 6:7-9 as examples. Furthermore, he explained that true boldness renders a person immovable, referencing Matthew 17:20 and 1 Kings 19:11-12.

Explaining the significance of boldness, Pastor Matthew noted that it is necessary to conquer fear, as stated in Romans 8:15 and 2 Timothy 1:7.

He warned that fear can cripple one’s destiny, referencing Job 3:24-25 and Proverbs 29:25. He further highlighted that boldness is required to possess one’s inheritance in God, as shown in Joshua 1:3,6,9, and that it positions believers to command signs and wonders (Acts 14:3, 4:29-33).

Speaking further, he stated that boldness enables individuals to remain steadfast in the face of adversity, drawing examples from 2 Kings 2:1-12, Proverbs 24:10, and Matthew 14:22-36.

He also encouraged believers to declare their inheritance boldly, citing Joel 3:10, Job 22:28-29, and Romans 4:17. Additionally, he asserted that boldness empowers people to challenge the impossible, as seen in Daniel 3:17-18.

Addressing how to access the spirit of boldness, Pastor Matthew outlined several spiritual principles.

He stressed that righteousness grants boldness, referencing Proverbs 28:1 and Ecclesiastes 9:8. Complete obedience to God, he said, also fosters boldness (Acts 1:7-8, 2:1-4).

He identified prayer as a vital force in cultivating boldness, citing Acts 4:29-33 and Hebrews 4:16. Moreover, he highlighted the role of the Holy Spirit in imparting boldness (Matthew 26:69-74, Acts 2:1-4, 10:38).

Pastor Matthew also emphasized the importance of association in developing boldness, warning that one’s company influences their courage or fear.

He referenced Acts 4:13 and Proverbs 13:20 to underscore this point. Additionally, he spoke on the power of impartation, drawing from Ezekiel 2:2 and John 20:22.

Throughout the sermon, Pastor Matthew shared several thought-provoking quotes.

He stated, “An army of sheep led by a lion will always defeat an army of lions led by a sheep,” emphasizing that leadership and boldness determine victory. He further noted that “Lack of boldness renders life fruitless and useless” and that “Courage is the key to blessedness and fruitfulness.”

He described boldness as “the antidote to fear” (1 John 4:18) and warned that “Fear must be killed to secure one’s welfare” (Job 3:24-25). He declared that “Any man who possesses boldness cannot be dispossessed of his good” and that “Boldness is the channel through which signs and wonders flow” (Acts 3:1-5).

Concluding his sermon, Pastor Matthew asserted that “When boldness is in place, power flows effortlessly” and “Only the brave attain greatness.” He urged believers to make bold declarations, affirming that “What we don’t declare, God is not permitted to deliver” and “What you declare is what you get.” He also reminded them that “Obedience is the major price for boldness” and that “A prayer-hearted life is a boldness-filled life.”

Finally, he emphasized that the Holy Spirit empowers believers for boldness, not just for outward confidence, urging the congregation to rely on divine strength for courage in their daily walk with God.
