In a deeply moving Easter Sunday message, the General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James, declared that the resurrection of Jesus Christ has restored love, honour, dignity, wealth, and has permanently broken negative family patterns.
Speaking to a congregation gathered at the church’s headquarters located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, Pastor Eleojoh spoke passionately on the theme: “The Mystery of Christ’s Resurrection.”
Drawing from Matthew 28:6-7 as his foundational text, Pastor Eleojoh began by explaining the profound significance of resurrection as the divine act of conquering the grave and rising from death to life.
He referenced scriptures like Revelation 20:5-6, Hosea 13:14, and Acts 2:22-23 to underscore that the resurrection is the ultimate manifestation of victory over death and decay.
Pastor Eleojoh emphasized that the resurrection of Christ was not merely a spiritual event, but a display of God’s unmatched power and supreme authority over life and death.
He pointed to Matthew 28:1-5, Luke 10:19, Revelation 1:18, and Romans 8:11 to reinforce this truth, noting that Christ’s triumph was a humiliation of the grave’s grip and a forceful declaration of divine supremacy.
He further explained that through the resurrection, the gates of life and destiny were opened to humanity.
Referencing Psalm 24:7-10, Revelation 3:8, and Matthew 28, he noted that barriers to greatness and purpose have been permanently lifted.
He added that the resurrection also dismantled evil foundations and generational patterns that once plagued families, as seen in Matthew 28:1-4 and verses 12-15.
According to Pastor Eleojoh, the resurrection sparked not just spiritual revival but also the restoration of various aspects of human existence.
Quoting Joel 2:24, Genesis 1:26-28, and other scriptures, he highlighted how fellowship with God was renewed, love and dignity were reinstated, and divine placement in life was restored.
The resurrection, he said, also ushered in the return of divine favour, good health, long life, mental productivity, and financial prosperity.
“This is not just a historical event,” he asserted. “It is a power encounter that brings total transformation. Lives are being resurrected, destinies are being reborn, and God is repositioning His people for greatness.”
Despite these blessings, Pastor Eleojoh expressed concern that many still live under satanic bondage. He attributed this to spiritual ignorance, pride, poor choices, and a refusal to take personal responsibility. Referencing Hosea 4:6, Isaiah 14, James 4, and other scriptures, he encouraged believers to embrace knowledge, humility, wise decisions, and accountability to fully access the benefits of Christ’s resurrection.
In an inspiring series of quotes, Pastor Eleojoh stated, “The beauty of life is the risen Christ,” adding that the resurrection is the most powerful event in human history. “If God can raise the dead, He can surely raise the living,” he said, affirming that the grave was defeated so that grace could be made manifest.
He declared that the gates of freedom are open and that foundational bondages no longer have a hold on the redeemed.
The Sunday service, themed “Win Service,” was a celebration of victory, featuring heartfelt songs by the Solemn Voices Choir and a powerful drama presentation honouring the resurrection of Jesus.
The congregation was visibly moved, many rejoicing in the newfound understanding of the resurrection’s power to transform every area of life.
Pastor Eleojoh concluded by urging believers not to remain ignorant, as ignorance, he said, often leads to neglect. “If you don’t want to be neglected,” he warned, “avoid ignorance by all means.”
The atmosphere at Solemn Faith International Church was one of spiritual awakening, as members left empowered by the message that Christ’s resurrection is not just history it is the gateway to total restoration.
