The wife of the General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Matthew Ele-Ojo James, Mrs. Hope Mathew Ele-Ojo James, has charged believers to embrace inner transformation as the key to breaking new ground in life and destiny.

She made this powerful declaration during the church’s Sunday service today at Solemn Faith International Church, located at Road 21, Plot 14, Federal Housing Estate, Woji, Port Harcourt, while ministering on the theme “Breaking New Grounds (Part 3).” The sermon was anchored on Isaiah 54:2–4.

In her message, Mrs. Hope Mathew explained that breaking new ground begins with a clear understanding of what it means to “break.” She described it as interrupting, terminating, or destroying an existing pattern or continuity, especially one that limits progress.

According to her, many destinies remain stagnant because people attempt to step into new dimensions while holding on to old systems, mindsets, and ways of life.

She emphasized that breaking new ground involves putting an end to what is familiar particularly patterns associated with failure or stagnation and allowing God to establish something new and beneficial. Drawing from several scriptural references, she noted that God’s intention is not only to end negative cycles but also to introduce His people to new realms of purpose, productivity, and glory.

The woman of God further taught that God’s Word remains a primary channel through which new grounds are broken, as it carries the power to reshape destinies and realign lives with divine purpose.

She also highlighted the role of prophetic intervention, urging members to key into every prophetic word released for the season, as such words often unlock new dimensions when received in faith.

Mrs. Mathew stressed the necessity of the anointing, explaining that it is the divine force that destroys yokes and removes limitations. Beyond this, she challenged believers to cultivate a “must-break-new-ground” mentality, rooted in the understanding of who they are in Christ.

She reminded the congregation that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation, and this new identity demands a new way of thinking, seeing, and acting.

She encouraged worshippers to see themselves as instruments in God’s hands for the manifestation of new things, adding that past achievements, no matter how great, belong to the past and should not hinder the pursuit of greater things ahead.

According to her, God is constantly doing new things, and only those who are willing to look forward with faith and expectation can partake in them.

Concluding her message, Mrs. Hope Mathew declared that breaking new ground is inseparable from personal renewal.

She affirmed that new wine cannot be contained in old wineskins, insisting that anyone who desires new results must become a new person.

She also noted that there is creative power in what people choose to see, as vision influences action, and doing things differently often opens the door to divine preservation and lasting impact.

The service was marked by a powerful atmosphere of worship, led by the Solemn Voice, and was crowned with massive, mind-blowing testimonies, leaving the congregation inspired and spiritually refreshed.
