The General Overseer of Solemn Faith International Church, Pastor Mathew Eleojoh James , has emphasized that a person’s progress in life is greatly influenced by how well they make their parents happy.
He made this remark during today’s church service while preaching on the message titled “Keys to Accessing and Sustaining the Blessing, Part 3.”
The sermon drew its scriptural references from Genesis 1:28, Genesis 12:1–4, and Ephesians 6:1–3.
Pastor Mathew explained that parental care plays a pivotal role in unlocking divine blessings.
According to him, biological parents hold a unique place in a person’s life because they cared for their children from infancy. As they grow older, children are expected to reciprocate this love and kindness.
He stressed that honoring one’s parents is not optional, citing the commandment in Exodus 20:12.
The pastor noted that honoring biological parents brings several blessings, including long life, the fulfillment of divine promises, and access to parental guidance.
He stated that these blessings are activated when children pay attention to their parents’ instructions, avoid dubious behavior, and show them genuine honor and respect.
Pastor Mathew also highlighted the significance of spiritual parents, describing them as God-sent agents assigned to guide, disciple, and cover His children.
He said spiritual parents are ordained channels through which divine blessings flow.
According to him, they play critical roles such as activating greatness, providing divine coverage, transferring virtue, releasing prosperity, and facilitating restoration, fruitfulness, and divine intervention.
He added that accessing the blessings of spiritual parents requires serving them faithfully, caring genuinely for their welfare, obeying their instructions, refraining from speaking ill of them, avoiding familiarity, and maintaining an open and sincere relationship with them.
Throughout the message, the pastor shared several powerful quotes, noting that the next generation depends on how believers handle blessings today, and that the level of care people show to society often reflects how they treat their own parents. He reminded the congregation that leaving one’s parents does not justify abandoning them, and that parental utterances influence the length and quality of one’s life.
Pastor Mathew also emphasized that elders play an important role in guiding individuals toward greatness, and that the fulfillment of family prophecies is tied to kindness shown to parents.
He concluded by saying that divine intervention from prophets brings success, the transfer of virtue increases a person’s value, and that one’s “prophet is their profit.”
The service featured spirit-filled ministration by Solemn Voice and several mind-blowing testimonies that inspired the congregation.
