Following reports of security concerns in Maiduguri on Wednesday night, Borno Governor, Prof Babagana Umara #Zulum showed up 12am (midnight) to restore and build public confidence, assess situation and meet victims.
The scene was in Damboa road around Maiduguri NNPC depot.
A rocket propelled grenade was believed to have been launched by boko haram insurgent from unknown distance and it fell on a house in Jiddari injuring occupants.
#Zulum had on receiving the news of the attack, been in touch with heads of security agencies monitoring responses from forces.
Members of a family were largely affected by the grenade.
#Zulum visited the state Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri where those injured were admitted. He directed the settlement of their medical bills.
