It is no longer news that Muhammed Sanusi II has been dethroned by the Government of Kano which the government at the centre claimed she is not aware but what is making news now is outpouring of reactions by peoples from different background.

From Ourworldgist investigation thus far, 99% of the people are against his removable.

However, one of Ourworldgist regular writers, Sani Michael Omakoji differs in opinion.

Sani Michael Omakoji, The Author Of This Article

In what he titles: “Sanusi Removal As An Emir Of Kano Is A Great Boost To Nigeria ‘s Political Development”, he is of the opinion that the Nation will benefit more from Sanusi II as a politician than having him as an Emir.

Let us read his interesting analysis:

“I have read handful of commentaries on the removal of Muhammed Sanusi II as Emir of Kano.

About 99% of the commentaries on Muhammed Sanusi II ‘s removal majorly lament why he was forcefully removed by the government of Kano led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

As human, I won’t condemn their outpouring of emotion especially looking at the circumstances that surround his removal which of course is politically sponsored and motivated.

Having said that, I beg to differ in opinion as Sanusi II who is so much endowed with knowledge of Economy should not in my view be confined to the parlance where participating in Nation’s politics is often misunderstood by those who have ‘knowledge setback as a misnomer.

Recall that Muhammed Sanusi II played predominant role as CBN Governor when Nigerian Economy was rated as one of the fastest 10th growing Economies in the world.

Muhammed Sanusi II as CBN Governor then worked indefatigably along side the Minister of coordinating Economy, Dr Ikonjo Iweala under the Government of President Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan (2010- 2015) to make that happen.

In a normal Society, such a great personality with such distinct wisdom, should be a life time asset for a Nation as his wealth of wisdom can always be of help to the Nation.

As fate will have it however, this intelligent Fellow was hurried up to take chieftaincy title as it was said a time that he is the next on line according to laid down tradition to take over the kingship as an Emir.

Dishearteningly, little did he know that his opinion on the state of the Nation especially on bad governance will be seen as an anti- government.

Thus, Sanusi’s consistent in reprimanding bad governance has eventually led to his dethronement.

A quick preview of the person of Sanusi’s background reveals that few people have been privileged to be an expert in a discipline he majors as “Risk Expert” hence, it is not surprising therefore, to see him raising voice against stealing dollar in both Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

Perhaps, expecting him to remain calm where public officers have abandoned the issues of Economy, security and infrastructure to rather patronise looting, wickedness, maladministration, nepotism and all forms of anti peoples’ policies because he is an Emir is completely out of his background desire.

Like I stated earlier, I won’t criticise those who are lambasting the authority for his removal but let me say at this point that Sanusi ‘s removal is a big boost to political development in Nigeria if he eventually joins political class in Nigeria because having him as a politician will pay Nigeria more than having him as an Emir.

With Sanusi track of achievement, his refined ideas about gender mainstreaming, women participation in politics, new philosophy to health, Education, Agriculture, Commerce and infrastructural challenges he would definitely redefine politics in Nigeria.

Consequently, to those who are behind his removal, they should know that power is transient and its can turn against their omen too tomorrow.

For prosperity and history sake, let me also emphasis that Sanusi II won’t be the first or the last to be dethroned.

This reminds me how ALAAFIN ADENIRAN ADEYEMI II, the father of the incumbent Alaafin was dethroned and exiled to Lagos in 1955 by Awolowo.

Shock? “exile” is my only fear, why someone with so much knowledge of Economy should be made to go on an exile when the Nation actually needs his input for the Economy to grow?

Is it that is a crime for such person to mix up with people who are intellectually drained and socially retarded ?

At this point, let me be pastoral in my writing to address some key elements here who are worthy of mentioning:

To Aminu Ado Bayero who is appointed to do authority’s desire which Sanusi II refused, he should know that whatever he does in the course of discharging his duties, he should be conscious of the fact that some days he is going to give account of his deed before our Creator.

And to “Gandollar” who is now acting like small god today, he should know that nothing lasts forever as power itself is transient.

To all the like minds who felt bad for Sanusi II ‘s removal, we should be on the look out to give him our full support should he decides to join politics with such massive brain.

Remain bless Nigerians”
