Kogi-native actor, Thompson Makolo Jnr, is set to receive the esteemed Igala title “ONU AMACH’IYA JEH,” denoting the king of entertainers.
The honor was announced in a letter from His Royal Highness, Sir Ujah Sani Simeon (KSJI), Ejeh Olamaboro and Chairman Olamaboro Local Government Traditional Council, dated August 29, 2023.
The title signifies deep respect, addressed as “DO’OGA.”
In the letter addressed to Thompson Makolo, His Royal Highness expressed admiration for his journey in the entertainment industry, both nationally and internationally, especially in Nollywood.
Thompson Makolo has been recognized for upholding the Igala identity in the competitive Nigerian film landscape.
His dedication and integrity have garnered the approval of the Olamaboro Local Government Traditional Council, who finds him deserving of the prestigious title “ONU AMACH’IYA JEH OLAMABORO” (The King of Entertainers).
This recognition aims to inspire Makolo to contribute further to Olamaboro’s development and the larger Igala community.
